The club sold him for £19.1 million and included a sell-on clause in the deal. This sale contributes to Chelsea's financial strategy, following their significant spending of approximately £220 million during the summer transfer window on players like Pedro Neto and Joao Felix. Despite these moves, Chelsea's performance has been lackluster, with only one win in their first few Premier League games this season.
