Kansas, Indiana Basketball Teams Debut Special Jerseys Celebrating Black Excellence

In celebration of Black History Month, both Indiana and Kansas basketball teams debuted special uniforms honoring significant figures in Black excellence. Indiana's uniforms, designed in collaboration with Adidas, pay tribute to the artistry and cultural significance of quilting, connecting the program to its historical roots. Meanwhile, Kansas honored women's basketball pioneer Lusia Harris with new jerseys inspired by her legacy, featuring a quilt design that references the Underground Railroad. The Jayhawks' uniforms were created by Alex Taylor, founder of Hoop York City, which promotes opportunities for women in sports. Both teams highlighted their commitment to recognizing and celebrating Black history through their unique designs during their games. Indiana faced UCLA, while Kansas secured a win against Colorado, showcasing their new looks.
