Big Rig Overturns in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5

Two significant big rig accidents have recently occurred on California's Interstate 5. In Shasta County, a crash early Tuesday caused the southbound lanes to close and one lane of northbound traffic to be blocked, with the California Highway Patrol still assessing when it might reopen. Separately, in Gorman, a multi-vehicle accident involving six cars, including an overturned big rig, occurred on November 18, resulting in three people being hospitalized. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the Gorman incident, which also led to traffic disruptions as only one lane remained open. Investigations are ongoing for both accidents to determine the causes. The recent incidents highlight the dangers associated with large vehicle accidents on major highways.
