Ryan Lochte's Estranged Wife Accuses Him of Drug Use, Seeks Custody in Complex Divorce

Kayla Lochte has demanded access to Ryan Lochte’s financial records in their bitter divorce, filing subpoenas (dated Oct. 22) seeking bank records from January 2019 to present, credit‑card and loan information and asking Cash App and Cameo for payment and earnings data. She filed for divorce on March 26 after seven years of marriage and is seeking primary custody of their three children, alleging Ryan used drugs around the kids — claiming she found empty bags of cocaine, witnessed nitrous‑oxide use and cited failed drug tests — and has accused him of other unsafe behavior such as allegedly driving while intoxicated. Ryan denies using drugs in front of or around their children, has said he fell into a cycle of depression after a 2023 car accident and has been in intensive rehab, and he disputes the public allegations. Kayla has also gone public about the “complex” split on Instagram, saying she is rebuilding and “frozen in time,” while court filings raise additional concerns including claims about a new “paramour.” The subpoenas are part of ongoing litigation over custody and finances, and Ryan has not publicly responded to the subpoenas seeking his financial records.
