Met Police Officers Deny Sexual Assault Charges
Jerome Beasley, 42, and Luke Robinson, 39, two Metropolitan Police officers from the Central West Command Unit, have pleaded not guilty to multiple counts of sexual assault against a woman. During a hearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court on November 20, 2024, they denied charges related to incidents involving 'grabbing and squeezing' the victim's breasts and buttocks, with allegations stemming from encounters at the Hippodrome Casino in London. Beasley faces four charges, including one from January 2020, while Robinson is charged with three offenses occurring in April 2024. Both officers were off duty during the alleged incidents and are currently suspended from their duties. They have been granted conditional bail with restrictions, including no contact with each other or the alleged victim, until their next court appearance on December 18, 2024. This case has raised significant public concern regarding police conduct and accountability.
