Man Arrested for Fare Evasion, Suspected of Murder

Johnathan Wright, a 36-year-old man, was arrested early Sunday morning at the Bay Fair BART station in San Leandro for fare evasion. During the arrest, it was discovered that he was also wanted for murder in San Francisco. Wright was subsequently booked into the San Francisco County Jail #2 on murder charges and is being held without bail. BART police have noted that Wright is listed as transient, but further details regarding the murder charge have not been disclosed by San Francisco police.
