Texas Woman, 18, Arrested for Allegedly Sharing Ex-Boyfriend's Sex Tape at Bar

Taylor Jewell Richard, an 18-year-old from Texas, was arrested for allegedly showing a sex tape of her and her ex-boyfriend, Michael Bassett, to patrons at a bar in Tomball, Texas. The footage, recorded at Bassett's request on Valentine's Day, was disclosed with the intent to harm him after their breakup, leading to charges of unlawful disclosure of intimate material, which could result in up to two years in prison. Bassett, who owns a diesel maintenance business, expressed distress over the public ridicule he faced and the impact on his business following the incident. He learned of the video being shared through friends who received messages while at the bar, prompting a mix of jokes and embarrassment. Despite Richard's mother stating she would not comment, Bassett recounted a phone call from her post-arrest, where she inquired about dropping the charges. Richard has been released on bond and is required to stay away from Bassett.
