HBO's Mountainhead, Directed by Jesse Armstrong, Premieres May 31

HBO has announced that Jesse Armstrong's directorial debut film, titled 'Mountainhead', will premiere on May 31 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and will also be available on Max. The film follows a group of billionaire friends who gather amidst an international crisis, with a cast led by Steve Carell, Jason Schwartzman, Cory Michael Smith, and Ramy Youssef. Production wrapped recently in Park City, Utah, and the film is expected to maintain the acerbic tone characteristic of Armstrong's previous work on 'Succession'. Alongside Armstrong, notable executive producers include Frank Rich and Lucy Prebble, all of whom contributed to the success of 'Succession'. First look images of the film have been released, showcasing the luxurious setting of the story. 'Mountainhead' is positioned as a likely contender in the upcoming Emmy race, coinciding with the eligibility deadline for the 2024-25 season.
