'Y: Marshals' Spinoff Ordered, Grimes Producing

CBS has ordered 'Y: Marshals,' a Yellowstone spinoff series starring Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, who will also serve as an executive producer. The 13-episode show is set to air Sundays starting midseason 2026 and follows Kayce after his departure from the Yellowstone Ranch as he joins an elite U.S. Marshals unit in Montana. Combining his cowboy background and Navy SEAL training, Kayce takes on violent crime while facing personal and family challenges. Taylor Sheridan will serve as executive producer, with Spencer Hudnut as showrunner, and the series will be produced by MTV Entertainment Studios. 'Y: Marshals' is one of several Yellowstone universe projects in development, including potential series focused on Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler. CBS aims to leverage both linear and streaming platforms to broaden the show's appeal.
