CBS Orders 'Yellowstone' Spinoff 'Y: Marshals' Starring Luke Grimes

CBS has officially greenlit a new Yellowstone spinoff titled 'Y: Marshals,' centered on Kayce Dutton, with Luke Grimes reprising his role. The 13-episode series will see Kayce join an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, blending his skills as a cowboy and former Navy SEAL to deliver justice in Montana while grappling with family and the psychological toll of his work. The show will be produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, with Spencer Hudnut as showrunner and Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan serving as executive producer. Filming is set to begin this summer, aiming for a midseason 2026 premiere in a prominent Sunday night slot on CBS. The series reflects CBS’s strategy to leverage both linear and streaming platforms, expanding the Yellowstone universe beyond Paramount+ with high production values.
