Wells, Girl Scouts founder Juliette Gordon Low, astronomer Dr. Vera Rubin, activist Stacey Park Milbern, and tennis player Althea Gibson. U.S. Mint Director Ventris C. Gibson emphasized the importance of these coins in recognizing the legacies of these 'extraordinary she-roes' and educating the public about their contributions. The selection process involved consultations with various institutions, ensuring a diverse representation of women's achievements. The quarters will enter circulation in March 2025, with limited editions available for collectors.
