Twins Place Catcher Ryan Jeffers on Seven-Day Concussion List

Minnesota Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers was placed on the seven-day concussion injured list after being hit in the mask by a foul tip during a game against the Chicago White Sox. Jeffers showed symptoms including fogginess and difficulty processing, which improved but did not fully resolve, leading to the decision to give him the necessary recovery time. The move was retroactive to Friday, and Jeffers will be unavailable to play until the following Friday at the earliest. To fill his roster spot, the Twins recalled outfielder Carson McCusker and right-handed pitcher Pierson Ohl from Triple-A St. Paul, while designating right-handed pitcher Brooks Kriske for assignment. McCusker and Ohl have had multiple stints with the Twins this season, and Mickey Gasper and Jhonny Pereda will also serve as catching options while Jeffers and Christian Vazquez (shoulder) are sidelined. Jeffers has been a key player this season, batting .262 with nine home runs and 44 RBIs in 114 games.
