Chef Justin Sutherland Arrested for Domestic Assault

Celebrity chef Justin Sutherland was arrested in St. Paul on Friday night and charged with felony threats of violence and domestic assault against his girlfriend. According to the criminal complaint, he allegedly pointed a gun at her, choked her, and made several violent threats. Sutherland's girlfriend reported that he threatened to kill her and broke her phone to prevent her from calling for help. Despite initial reports of a man with a gun at the scene, police did not find a firearm but confirmed a domestic assault had occurred. Sutherland, who is known for his appearances on 'Top Chef' and 'Iron Chef America,' was held at Ramsey County Jail and is awaiting further legal proceedings.
