Two Teens Killed, One Injured in New Bedford Crash

Two teenagers, a 17-year-old boy from West Yarmouth and a 15-year-old girl, died in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning on Route 140 South in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The crash occurred just before 2 a.m. when the gray 2019 Honda Civic veered off the road and went into a wooded area, sustaining significant damage to the passenger side. Both teens were ejected from the vehicle; the 17-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 15-year-old died shortly after being taken to the hospital. An 18-year-old man from Dartmouth, who was driving the vehicle, was also transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Massachusetts State Police and the Bristol County District Attorney's office are investigating the cause of the crash, but no further details have been released at this time.
