Amazon Driver Turns Himself In After Hit-and-Run in Baltimore
Jerome Allan Young Jr., a 26-year-old Amazon delivery driver, turned himself in to Baltimore police after being involved in a hit-and-run incident on February 18, 2025. Young allegedly struck a 29-year-old woman with his Amazon van at the intersection of East Pratt and South Chester streets around 9:30 p.m., briefly checked on her, and then fled the scene. He is facing charges of negligent and reckless driving, with additional charges pending. The woman was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Following the incident, Amazon suspended Young from delivering packages and stated they are cooperating with law enforcement. Police obtained video evidence showing the incident, prompting an arrest warrant for Young before he surrendered.
