The Last of Us Season 2 Streams in American Sign Language
Max has announced that HBO's The Last of Us will be available to stream in American Sign Language (ASL), starting with the premiere of season two on April 13. The first season will also be accessible in ASL beginning March 31, allowing viewers to catch up before the new episodes air. This move marks the first time HBO's original programming will be offered in ASL on the platform, reflecting a commitment to inclusivity for deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences. ASL performances will be delivered by Daniel Durant and Leila Hanaumi, both known for their work in the film CODA. Additionally, Max has previously provided ASL versions for several Warner Bros. films, including Barbie and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The initiative is seen as a significant step towards enhancing accessibility within streaming content.
