US Marshals Identify Suspect Killed in Little Rock Shooting

On March 24, 2024, U.S. Marshals attempted to apprehend fugitive Willie Joe Larry-Purdiman at a gas station in Little Rock, Arkansas, leading to a deadly confrontation. Larry-Purdiman, who was wanted for failure to appear on weapons charges, fled on foot and fired multiple shots at pursuing officers. After ignoring commands to drop his weapon and continuing to pose a threat, officers used deadly force, resulting in Larry-Purdiman's death. One task force officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident, but no civilians were harmed.
