Nashville Police Seek Woman After Road Rage Shooting Injures 12-Year-Old
The Metro Nashville Police Department is searching for a heavyset Black woman wearing a white sports bra who is suspected of shooting a 12-year-old girl during a road rage incident at the intersection of Clarksville Pike and Buena Vista Pike. The girl was a passenger in a Cadillac Escalade driven by her father, who had attempted to merge lanes when the minivan, believed to be a silver Chrysler Pacifica, blocked his path and the drivers exchanged profanities. When the traffic light turned green, the minivan did not move, prompting the Escalade driver to go around it; at this moment, two to three gunshots were fired, injuring the girl with a non-critical wound to her bottom. Surveillance footage from the intersection captured a partial image of the minivan, and detectives are canvassing nearby businesses for additional videos. The victim's family was visiting Nashville from Memphis and was heading to a short-term rental at the time of the shooting. Authorities urge anyone with information about the suspect or vehicle to contact Nashville Crime Stoppers, with anonymity and a cash reward offered.
