Maeva Squiban delivered a stunning solo victory on stage six of the 2025 Tour de France Femmes, becoming the first French rider to win a stage this year by breaking away with around 30 kilometers remaining and finishing over a minute ahead of her closest competitor. Squiban's decisive move came on the final climb of the day, the Col du Chansert, where she took the lead from Elise Chabbey and powered to a commanding finish, despite her UAE Team ADQ being reduced to just four riders. Juliette Labous finished second, just ahead of yellow jersey holder Kimberley Le Court-Pienaar, who maintained her overall lead with three stages left in the race. Le Court-Pienaar made history earlier in the race as the first African stage winner and currently holds a 26-second lead over France's Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, with Katarzyna Niewiadoma-Phinney moving up to third overall. The stage was marked by aggressive racing and a relentless breakaway effort, particularly by UAE Team ADQ's Brodie Chapman, setting the tone for Squiban's victory.
