The 19-year-old, who had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State, reportedly confessed to a plan involving a vehicle attack on concertgoers, followed by bomb detonation. The younger suspect began working at the Ernst Happel Stadium just days before the concerts, which authorities believe positioned him for the attack. Investigators found chemical substances and technical devices at the older suspect's home, indicating serious preparation for the attack. A 15-year-old was also detained, but is believed to have only had knowledge of the plot without active involvement. Officials emphasized the seriousness of the threat, leading to the swift cancellation of the concerts meant to host nearly 200,000 fans.
