Amazon's Tomb Raider Series Reportedly Canceled

Amazon's highly anticipated Tomb Raider TV series, led by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and starring Sophie Turner, has reportedly been canceled. Despite the $20 million-a-year deal with Waller-Bridge and extensive development costs, the series faced delays due to unfinished and unsuitable scripts. The departure of Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke, who was a key supporter of the project, may have also contributed to its demise. Additionally, Turner, initially set to play Lara Croft, is reportedly committed to other projects. Although Amazon has not officially confirmed the cancellation, reports suggest the series is unlikely to proceed. Meanwhile, Amazon continues to work on other major projects, including the next James Bond movie.
