No. 15 Alabama Advances to NCAA Super Regionals Against Oklahoma

The Alabama Crimson Tide softball team has advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals for the third consecutive season after winning the 2025 Tuscaloosa Regional. They finished the regional with a 3-2 victory over Virginia Tech in a closely contested final marked by strong pitching performances, including a dominant outing by Alabama's Catelyn Riley. Alabama showcased resilience throughout the regional, also securing wins against Jackson State and Virginia Tech in previous games, improving their season record to 40-21. The team will next travel to Norman to face the four-time defending national champions, Oklahoma, a top contender in college softball and a team Alabama previously beat two out of three in a regular-season series. Alabama's consistent postseason success includes appearances in the Regional final every year since 2005 and a record 19 appearances in Super Regionals over the last 20 postseasons.
