Former New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola is set to compete on the upcoming season of 'Dancing with the Stars,' premiering on September 17. Amendola, a two-time Super Bowl champion who retired in 2022, will join a diverse cast including former NBA star Dwight Howard, Olympic medalists Ilona Maher and Stephen Nedoroscik, and reality TV stars Jenn Tran and Phaedra Parks. This season will be hosted by Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro, with Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough returning as judges. Amendola briefly dabbled in coaching with the Las Vegas Raiders before deciding to take a break. He follows in the footsteps of other NFL stars who have competed on the show, such as Michael Irvin and Jerry Rice. Amendola’s participation has already garnered support from former teammates, including Rob Gronkowski.
