Gas prices continue to decline across the United States, with the national average falling to $3.13 per gallon, down 3.3 cents from last week and 39.7 cents from a year ago. In Champaign County, Illinois, prices have dropped to an average of $3.10 per gallon, while in Louisville, Kentucky, they are now averaging $2.93 per gallon. Virginia has also seen a decrease, with average prices at $3.07 per gallon. This decline is attributed to improved gasoline supply post-Hurricane Milton and decreasing oil prices, which have fallen below $70 per barrel. Experts from GasBuddy express optimism that prices may fall below $3.00 per gallon for the first time since 2021. Meanwhile, diesel prices have also decreased slightly, currently averaging $3.56 nationally.
