Kyle Ryde Retains British Superbike Title with Historic Back-to-Back Win

Kyle Ryde successfully defended his British Superbike Championship title in 2025, becoming the first rider since Shane Byrne in 2017 to win back-to-back titles. Ryde secured the championship at the final race of the season at Brands Hatch, finishing sixth to clinch the title over rival Bradley Ray by 20 points. Despite a difficult start to the season due to his team's near withdrawal, Ryde capitalized on Ray's crashes to build a strong lead, winning six races and securing 21 podiums with a perfect finish record in 33 races. Bradley Ray started the season strongly with 10 wins in the first 12 races but ultimately could not overcome Ryde, finishing second in the championship. Ryde's team, Nitrous Competitions Racing, saved his season after OMG Racing's collapse, and the team will switch to Ducati machinery next season. The intense rivalry between Ryde and Ray highlighted the season, with Ray pushing hard but unable to surpass Ryde's consistency and composure under pressure.
