Aryna Sabalenka has opened up about the profound impact of her ex-boyfriend Konstantin Koltsov's death on her mental health. Koltsov, a former NHL player, died by suicide in March 2024, leading Sabalenka to initially cope by diving into her tennis career. However, she later acknowledged that this approach caused significant emotional and mental strain. Sabalenka, who had previously used tennis to cope with her father's death in 2019, realized that taking a break might have been a healthier choice. Despite her struggles, she recently won the Cincinnati Open after recovering from a shoulder injury.
