Yorktown, Chantilly Celebrate Historic Swim Championship Wins

At the recent SUNYAC Championship Meet, the SUNY New Paltz men's swim team finished fourth while the women's team placed seventh, with notable performances in relay events. In Virginia, the Yorktown girls' swim team secured their third consecutive state title, led by standout performances including a first-place finish from junior Sophie Fredericks in the 100-yard butterfly. American University also had a successful outing at the Patriot League Championships, breaking multiple records and achieving gold medals in various events, with graduate student Watts earning three golds. Meanwhile, at the PIAA District 10 championships, Logan Amy of the Corry Beavers set a new district record in the 100 breaststroke while securing a spot in the state championships. These championships highlight the competitive spirit and achievements of collegiate and high school swim teams across the country.
