Griffith called 911 on September 8, claiming his mother fell on a knife during a fight, but investigators found evidence indicating a violent confrontation where he dragged her inside the home. Witnesses have reported seeing him arguing with her moments before the incident, and the medical examiner determined the wound was inconsistent with an accident. Previously, charges against Griffith for his father's death were dropped due to self-defense claims, which could be reopened if new evidence arises. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd expressed concerns about Griffith's dangerous behavior and questioned the handling of his case in Oklahoma. Griffith is currently being held in Polk County Jail and is expected to be prosecuted as an adult.
