Suspect and K9 Injured in Oakhurst Shooting

A suspect, 41-year-old Allen Scott Williams, was arrested after a violent rampage in a stolen Toyota 4Runner in Oakhurst, California, which included hit-and-run incidents and ramming into vehicles. Following a pursuit by deputies, Williams fired a shotgun at K-9 Obie, who was subsequently injured in the exchange of gunfire. Both Williams and K-9 Obie were hospitalized, with Williams facing multiple felony charges, including assault with a deadly weapon and violation of probation. K-9 Obie is expected to recover after extensive rehabilitation, despite suffering from numerous shotgun pellets lodged in his body. The incident is currently under investigation by the Madera Police Department as per protocol for deputy-involved shootings. Williams is also wanted on felony warrants from Mariposa County.
