Puppy Bowl XXI Features 142 Rescue Puppies from 80 Shelters

The Puppy Bowl XXI is set to air on February 9, featuring 142 rescue puppies from 80 shelters across 40 states and two countries, competing for the coveted 'Lombarky' trophy. Among the participants are two dogs from Massachusetts, Bark Kent and Lex Woofer, who will represent Team Fluff and Team Ruff, respectively. Notably, Derrick Nnadi of the Kansas City Chiefs has been coaching a puppy named Parsnip, who has overcome a broken leg to participate in the event. Victoria Schade, the lead puppy trainer for the show, has ensured the pups' happiness and safety for 19 years, recently adopting a puppy herself. The event not only entertains but also promotes pet adoption, with many participating puppies seeking loving homes. Local events, such as viewing parties and adoption showcases, are also being held in various locations to celebrate the Puppy Bowl and support local rescues.
