US Prosecutors Seek 11-Year Sentence for Diddy After Prostitution Conviction

Sean “Diddy” Combs, the 55-year-old hip-hop mogul and founder of Bad Boy Records, is set to be sentenced after being convicted on two counts of transporting male prostitutes across state lines for drug-fueled sexual performances with his girlfriends. While acquitted of more severe racketeering and sex trafficking charges, prosecutors have urged for a harsh sentence of over 11 years in prison and a $500,000 fine, emphasizing the long duration and impact of his conduct. Combs’ defense team has appealed the verdict and requested a much lighter sentence of 14 months, citing the damage to his career and the time he has already served in custody.
