Delhi Building Collapse Kills At Least 11

A four-storey residential building collapsed in Delhi's Mustafabad area around 2:39–3 am on April 19, 2025, killing at least 11 people, including members of the building owner's family, and injuring as many others. Some residents remain feared trapped under the debris, while 14 survivors have been rescued and several hospitalized. Rescue operations by the National Disaster Response Force, fire services, and police continued for more than 12 hours, hindered by the area's congestion. Preliminary findings suggest ongoing construction work and long-standing structural weaknesses, such as water seepage, contributed to the collapse. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and other leaders have expressed condolences, ordered an official probe, and promised compensation to affected families.
