Subsea7 Secures Up to $1.25B Sakarya Field Contract Offshore Türkiye

Subsea7 has secured a major contract valued between $750 million and $1.25 billion from the Turkish Petroleum Offshore Technology Center (TP-OTC) for the development of phase 3 of the Sakarya gas field in the Black Sea, offshore Türkiye. The contract includes engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) of subsea umbilicals, risers, and flowlines, with project management led from Subsea7’s Istanbul office. The Sakarya field, Türkiye’s largest gas find discovered in 2020, began production in 2023 and currently supplies gas to about 4 million households, with plans to significantly increase output through new floating production platforms by 2028. Subsea7 executives emphasized that the award strengthens their relationship with TP-OTC and supports Türkiye’s strategic energy goals and vision for energy independence. This contract marks their second deal with TPAO in 2025, reflecting Subsea7’s commitment to local content development and delivering safe and efficient offshore solutions. The company is recognized globally for delivering complex integrated offshore projects and advancing sustainable energy infrastructure.
