Jury Duty Returns on Prime Video with Season 2

Amazon Prime Video has confirmed the return of 'Jury Duty' for a second season, which has already been filmed. The new season shifts from the courtroom setting to a corporate retreat, inspired by classic 1980s films like 'Animal House' and 'Caddyshack', with a David vs. Goliath theme. The first season, which aired on Amazon's now-defunct Freevee platform, featured an unsuspecting juror, Ronald Gladden, surrounded by actors including James Marsden playing exaggerated roles. The success of season one was notable, earning Emmy and Golden Globe nominations, and concluding with Gladden receiving $100,000 for his participation. Showrunner Cody Heller and the creative team return for the second season, indicating the possibility of exploring different scenarios beyond jury duty. Ronald Gladden has also signed a deal with Amazon to develop and star in future content.
