DUI Suspect Charged in Fatal I-5 Crash

The crash occurred around 11:40 p.m. when a Ford Mustang, driven by a 26-year-old Auburn man, rear-ended a Toyota Camry, causing both vehicles to spin out. The driver of the Mustang is facing charges of DUI and vehicular homicide, while a passenger in the Mustang, who was injured, may face obstruction charges. The collision led to a closure of the southbound lanes for approximately four hours. The investigation is ongoing, with drugs or alcohol suspected to be factors in the crash.
