Twin Cities Hosting 13 Halloween Costume Contests

Twin Cities venues are hosting 13 Halloween costume contests across late October into November, offering cash and other prizes as well as family-friendly parties and themed nights. Costume inspiration ranges from DIY and easy couples looks (Barbie and Ken, food pairings) to cinematic characters like The Grudge, Kill Bill’s Bride and The Crow, with dozens of DIY costume and décor ideas available. DIY décor suggestions include sparkly spiderwebs made from metal hoops, wire and beads and simple ghost garlands for mantels and stairways. National chains are joining the festivities: Chipotle's Boorito returns Oct. 31 with a $6 entrée deal for Rewards members from 3 p.m. local time to close, and a TikTok Boorito costume contest running Oct. 27–Nov. 2 will award VIP cards and other prizes.
