Passenger Assaults Ticket Inspector on Mumbai Train

A passenger, Aniket Bhosale, physically assaulted a travelling ticket inspector (TTE), Jasbir Singh, on a Mumbai local train after being fined for riding in an air-conditioned coach without a valid ticket. The altercation escalated from a verbal dispute to violence, leading to Bhosale and others tearing Singh's shirt and injuring him. The train was forced to stop at Borivali station, where Bhosale initially refused to deboard until removed by Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel at Nalasopara. Singh lost Rs 1,500 in fines during the chaos but later received reimbursement from Bhosale, who issued a written apology expressing concern about how an FIR could affect his job. Singh decided to forgive Bhosale, resulting in a warning rather than further legal action.
