Beckham, Oldman, Daltrey Knighted in 2025 Honours
David Beckham, Gary Oldman, and Roger Daltrey were knighted in King Charles III's 2025 Birthday Honours list for their achievements in sport, drama, music, and charity work. Beckham was recognized for his football career and philanthropic efforts, with his wife Victoria now becoming Lady Beckham. Roger Daltrey, co-founder of The Who, was honored for his music and decades of charity fundraising, particularly for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Oscar-winning actor Gary Oldman received his first royal accolade for his distinguished contributions to drama. The honours list also included new dames such as author Pat Barker and singer Elaine Paige, as well as MBEs for Strictly Come Dancing hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. In total, 1,200 individuals were recognized, with recipients ranging in age from 11 to 106.
