Henderson Police Find Body During Weeklong Flood Search
Authorities in Henderson, Nevada, discovered a body in a wash area near Via De Pellegrini and Via Della Fortuna, roughly 4.5 miles from where a man was swept away by floodwaters on May 6 near Aloha Drive and Pueblo Boulevard. Despite more than 100 hours of search efforts involving multiple agencies, including ground teams with K9 units, drones, helicopters, and off-road vehicles, the missing man was not located until this body was found on May 13. Police have not yet positively identified the body and cannot confirm if it is the same individual reported missing. Investigators have found no evidence of foul play. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased pending notification of next of kin. Authorities continue to encourage anyone with information to contact the Henderson Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
