Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman confirmed the financial assistance and reiterated the government's dedication to completing the Polavaram project, deemed crucial for the state's farmers. Sitharaman also mentioned that additional financial support would be arranged through multilateral development agencies in future years, addressing the state's infrastructure needs as outlined in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. The budget aims to promote industrial development and provide grants for backward regions in the state.
