Alstom Invests HUF 600 Million in Hungary Logistics Hall

Alstom has announced a HUF 600 million investment in a logistics hall, marking the completion of its HUF 6 billion Mátranovák 2030 Transformation Plan in Hungary. This new facility is essential for increasing production capacity by 40% by 2025 and will support the storage needs for raw materials and finished products. The plan includes the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies and a transition to a cell-based production system, positioning the Mátranovák site as a leading bogie frame manufacturing location in Europe. Concurrently, Alstom signed a $500 million CAD agreement with Metrolinx to modernize 181 Bi-Level commuter rail cars for Ontario’s GO Transit, which will create about 250 high-skilled jobs until at least 2030. This project signifies Alstom's long-standing partnership with Metrolinx and its commitment to enhancing public transit services in the Greater Toronto area. Both initiatives reflect Alstom's dedication to smart and sustainable mobility solutions while expanding its operational capacities.
