Two boaters were found dead in separate incidents at the Grand Canyon, marking the seventh and eighth fatalities since July. Patrick Horton, 59, was discovered after a 10-day river trip, while a 71-year-old man's body was located near Lower Nankoweap Camp shortly after he was reported missing. Meanwhile, in northern Arizona, two unidentified individuals were found deceased inside a vehicle, prompting an investigation by the Coconino County Sheriff's Office. No community safety concerns have been reported in relation to the vehicle deaths. The identities of the deceased boaters and the circumstances surrounding their deaths are still under investigation. In total, at least 16 people have died at the Grand Canyon this year, raising concerns about safety in the national park.
