British Teenager Jay Slater Still Missing in Tenerife

Jay Slater, a 19-year-old from Lancashire, has been missing in Tenerife since June 17 after leaving an Airbnb in Masca, following a night out at a nightclub. He declined an offer for a lift and attempted an 11-hour trek back to his hotel, during which he contacted a friend saying he was lost and in need of water before his phone died. A widespread search involving hikers, dogs, and drones was conducted but was called off on June 30, leaving his family devastated. The investigation remains open amid allegations that Jay had stolen a £12,000 Rolex, which he had allegedly bragged about on Snapchat before disappearing. His family, along with volunteers and a former British detective, continue to search the area and urge locals to provide any information that could help locate him. Spanish police have stated they will assist with the search if requested by the family.
