A recent Cleveland Clinic survey highlights generational differences in men's health priorities and behaviors, revealing that while 95% of men prioritize a healthy lifestyle, younger generations exhibit less engagement in preventative health measures. The survey, part of the MENtion It campaign, found that only 32% of Gen Z and Millennials get yearly physicals compared to 61% of Gen X and Boomers+. Additionally, nearly 40% of Gen Z men do not have a primary care provider, leading to a lack of routine health checks. Mental health discussions also differ, with 59% of younger men addressing these issues compared to 53% of older generations. The findings underscore the need for improved health communication and preventive care among younger men, who often rely on social media for health information. Dr. Petar Bajic emphasized the importance of establishing a relationship with a primary care provider to mitigate future health risks.
