Milei arrest warrant

Venezuela's Supreme Court has issued an arrest warrant for Argentina's President Javier Milei, accusing him of theft and other crimes related to a Venezuelan cargo plane seized in Buenos Aires. The plane, owned by Venezuelan company Emtrasur, was confiscated in June 2022 under allegations of sanctions violations involving Iran and the United States. The warrant is largely symbolic, as Milei is not expected to visit Venezuela. Alongside Milei, warrants have also been issued for Argentina's Security Minister Patricia Bullrich and his sister, Karina Milei, alleging various serious offenses including aggravated robbery and unlawful detention. Venezuelan Attorney General Tarek William Saab has stated that the case could involve human rights violations. Argentina has dismissed the warrant as a ridiculous action by a dictatorial regime.
