MLB Honors Hank Aaron With 715th Home Run Tribute at All-Star Game

Major League Baseball paid a spectacular tribute to late Hall of Famer Hank Aaron during the 2025 All-Star Game at Truist Park by recreating his historic 715th home run using projection mapping, holographic images, and pyrotechnics. The tribute featured voices of legendary announcers Milo Hamilton and Vin Scully, video highlights, and culminated in a firework launched to symbolize Aaron's record-breaking homer that surpassed Babe Ruth's long-standing mark. Aaron's widow, Billye Aaron, was present and honored alongside the sellout crowd of over 41,000 fans, while National League players wore jerseys bearing Aaron's No. 44. The tribute also recalled last year's 50th anniversary of Aaron's home run, which included announcements of a statue at the Baseball Hall of Fame and a commemorative postage stamp, as well as efforts by MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred and the Braves to establish scholarships and funds supporting minorities and educational opportunities. Aaron's legendary career, spanning from 1954 to 1976, included 755 home runs, 25 All-Star selections, and numerous records for RBIs, extra-base hits, and total bases, cementing his legacy as one of baseball's greatest icons.
