Annandale Man Arrested in Child Abduction Attempt

Hugo Perez Soliz, 45, was arrested in Annandale, Virginia, after allegedly attempting to lure a child into his black Subaru near a school bus stop at Wadsworth Court and Little River Turnpike around 8:48 a.m. on a Tuesday morning. The child escaped by running to a trusted adult, who took a photo of the car before Soliz drove away. The child then boarded the bus safely and reported the incident to a school official, leading to a police investigation. Police identified and located Soliz through the photo and security footage and subsequently arrested him. Soliz is being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on charges of attempted abduction. Authorities are seeking additional information from the public regarding the incident.
