Seko Fofana Joins Stade Rennes from Al Nassr

Ivorian international Seko Fofana has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Ligue 1 club Stade Rennais FC after an 18-month stint in Saudi Arabia, during which he played for Al Nassr and was loaned to Al Ettifaq. The deal is reportedly worth €20 million ($20.8 million), reflecting Rennes' commitment to bolster their squad as they currently sit 12th in the league. Fofana, who previously captained RC Lens and contributed significantly to their strong finishes, expressed optimism about Rennes' potential, stating the club is not where it should be. He aims to leverage his experience and talent to help elevate the team's performance. Additionally, Fofana has represented the Ivory Coast 25 times, contributing to their success in the Africa Cup of Nations.
