Florida State Hires New Offensive Coordinator Gus Malzahn

Florida State University has made significant coaching changes, announcing the hiring of new offensive line coach Herb Hand and offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn, alongside defensive line coach Terrance Knighton. Hand, previously at UCF, has signed a two-year contract worth $600,000 in the first year and $650,000 in the second. Malzahn's contract spans three years, with a total compensation of $6 million, and he is expected to earn $1.5 million in the first year, $2 million in the second, and $2.5 million in the third. Knighton, also joining the Seminoles from Nebraska, will earn $550,000 in his first year and $650,000 in his second year of a similar two-year contract. The contracts for all three coaches reflect Florida State's commitment to improving their football program under head coach Mike Norvell.
