Manchester United Academy Players Train in Switzerland

Manchester United has reached an agreement with Sir Jim Ratcliffe-owned FC Lausanne-Sport, allowing three academy players—Habeeb Ogunneye, Jack Kingdon, and Ethan Williams—to train with the Swiss club this week. This initiative is part of United's strategy under Ratcliffe's multi-club model, which aims to provide young talents with valuable first-team experience abroad. The trio, all 18 years old and recognized for their strong performances in United's academy, will gain exposure to senior-level play as they aspire to break into Erik ten Hag's first team. Additionally, the Manchester derby against Manchester City has been rescheduled to December 15, as part of a new broadcast arrangement. The move to Lausanne follows a previous successful academy trip to Nice, indicating a trend towards more international training opportunities for United’s young players.
