Azerbaijan and the UAE are strengthening their strategic partnership through a series of meetings aimed at enhancing economic cooperation, particularly in green energy and tourism. A notable gathering took place in Shusha, where both nations' ministers of economy discussed the importance of mutual visits and ongoing discussions to identify new collaboration opportunities. The 9th session of the Azerbaijan-UAE Intergovernmental Commission highlighted the need to increase mutual trade volumes and diversify trade structures, along with negotiations for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. Additionally, Azerbaijan is set to chair COP29 after the UAE hosted COP28, underscoring both countries' commitment to sustainable initiatives despite their status as major oil and gas producers. The partnership is viewed as a model for cooperation in various sectors, emphasizing trust and shared values between the two nations.
